Connecting your marketplaces.

Every step for every marketplace, what to have ready, and what to do if something does not work. Connect them in Settings.

How cross-listing works

Make the listing once and publish it to eBay, as usual.
Once it is live, Also list it everywhere else you sell appears under it, with every marketplace you have connected.
Press each one. The title, description, photos, price, stock and item specifics go across.

Stock is kept in step: every five minutes each marketplace is checked, and a sale on one takes the quantity down on all the others. See and change it in Settings, under Stock.

eBay

Takes about 2 minutes.

You will need

The email or username and password you sell with on eBay.
Postage, payment and returns set up on eBay as Business policies - eBay will not take a listing without them.

Step by step

Open Settings and tap eBay
In Flash Listings, open Settings from the home page, then tap the eBay logo.
Press Connect with eBay
eBay's own sign-in page opens. Your password goes to eBay, never to us.
Sign in with the account you sell on
It always asks you to sign in, so you can choose which account. Selling on more than one? Connect them one at a time - sign in with a different account each time.
Press Agree
eBay lists what Flash Listings may do: list items for you and read your sales. Press Agree.
You are brought back, connected
Your shop appears in Settings with a tick. If it says it Needs something, carry on to the next step.
Fill in anything eBay says is missing
Open Business policies on eBay, create the postage, payment or returns policy it names, then come back and press Check again.

When you list

Every tool publishes to eBay once you press Publish - to your default shop, or the one you pick.
With more than one shop connected, each gets its own copy with its own lead photo.

If something goes wrong

It says connecting eBay is not switched on yet: The site owner has one setup step left on eBay's side. Try again later, or contact us.
It says that shop is already linked: eBay signed you in as a shop you already connected. To add a different one, open eBay in a private window, sign out, and connect again.
It says Don't agree was pressed: eBay was asked but not allowed. Press Connect with eBay again and press Agree this time.

Amazon

Takes about 15 minutes, plus a few days for Amazon to approve you as a developer the first time.

You will need

An Amazon Seller Central account on the Professional selling plan, and its main (primary) login.
A barcode (EAN) for each product - or a GTIN exemption from Amazon - for products Amazon does not have yet.

Step by step

Sign in to Seller Central
At sellercentral.amazon.co.uk, with the account that owns the business - not a user added to it.
Open Develop Apps
From the menu go to Apps and Services, then Develop Apps - or open it directly.
Fill in the developer profile (first time only)
Press Proceed to Developer Profile. Choose Private developer - the option for connecting your own business. Tick the roles Product Listing and Inventory and Order Tracking. Answer the security questions and submit. Amazon emails you when it is approved, usually within a few days.
Add an app client
Back in Develop Apps, press Add new app client. Name it Flash Listings, choose API type SP API, tick the same two roles, and save.
Copy the client ID and secret
Next to the app, under LWA credentials, press View. Copy the Client identifier and the Client secret into Settings.
Authorise it and copy the refresh token
Press the arrow beside Edit App, choose Authorize, then Authorize app. Copy the refresh token - it starts Atzr| - into Settings.
Copy your seller ID
Go to Settings (the cog), Account Info, then Merchant Token. Copy it into Settings.
Pick your marketplace and press Check and save
Amazon.co.uk for most UK sellers. We check the details with Amazon before saving them.

When you list

If the product is already on Amazon (found by its barcode), your listing is added as an offer on it - just your price, stock and condition.
If not, it is made as a new product. Amazon wants different details for every kind of product, so the AI fills them in from your listing, Amazon checks them first, and only a listing Amazon accepts is sent.
New products can take a little while to go live while Amazon checks them. Your Seller Central inventory shows how it is going.

If something goes wrong

Amazon did not accept those details: The client ID, secret and refresh token must all come from the same app. Copy all three again.
Amazon refused - check the app has the Product Listing role: Edit the app in Develop Apps and tick Product Listing, then authorise it again and paste the new refresh token.
Amazon needs a barcode (EAN): Add the product's EAN to the listing. If your products have no barcode (your own brand, handmade), apply for a GTIN exemption in Seller Central.
Amazon would not accept it yet, and names a detail: Amazon wants something the listing did not say. Add it to the listing's item specifics and try again. Some categories also need Amazon's approval before you can sell in them.

Shopify

Takes about 10 minutes.

You will need

Your Shopify store, and the login that owns it.
Your store's address - it ends .myshopify.com (Shopify admin, Settings, Domains).

Step by step

Note your store address
In Shopify admin go to Settings, then Domains. Your .myshopify.com address is listed there.
Open the Dev Dashboard
Go to dev.shopify.com and sign in with the same Shopify login as your store. Press Create app and name it Flash Listings.
Give it permission to add products and stock
In the app's version settings, add the Admin API access scopes write_products, read_publications, write_publications, read_locations, read_inventory and write_inventory. Save, and release the version.
Install it on your store
Press Install app and choose your store.
Copy the Client ID and Client secret
In the app's Settings, copy both into Flash Listings's Settings, with your store address.
Press Check and connect
We check them with Shopify, then keep them. They are never shown again.

When you list

Each listing is made as an active product with its title, description, photos, price and SKU, and put on your Online Store.
Its stock is set at your first location, and kept in step with your other marketplaces.

If something goes wrong

Shopify did not accept that client ID and secret: The app must be installed on this store, and created while signed in with this store's login. Check both, and that you copied the secret in full.
Shopify answered 403: The permissions in step 3 are not released yet. Release the version with those scopes, then try again.
Made in Shopify - tick Online Store: The product exists but is not on sale. Open it in Shopify and tick Online Store under sales channels.
Made in Shopify, but its stock is not tracked: Your app is missing the stock permissions. Add read_locations, read_inventory and write_inventory (step 3), release the version, then remove Shopify in Settings and connect it again.

WooCommerce

Takes about 1 minute.

You will need

A WordPress site with WooCommerce, on an https:// address.
An admin login for it.

Step by step

Type your website's address
In Settings, tap WooCommerce and type your shop's address, starting https://.
Press Connect WooCommerce
Your own WordPress opens, asking whether Flash Listings may add products.
Sign in if it asks, and press Approve
You are brought straight back to Settings, connected. No keys to copy.

When you list

Each listing is made as a published product with its title, description, photos, price, SKU and stock.
WooCommerce downloads the photos from Flash Listings itself.

If something goes wrong

That address sends visitors on to another address: Paste the address it names instead - usually the same address with or without www.
That site does not have WooCommerce's API switched on: In WordPress go to Settings, Permalinks and choose anything but Plain. A security plugin can also block it - allow the WooCommerce REST API in its settings.
Approving does not work: Use Or connect with keys instead: in WordPress go to WooCommerce, Settings, Advanced, REST API, press Add key, choose Read/Write, generate it and paste both keys.

BigCommerce

Takes about 5 minutes.

You will need

Your BigCommerce store, and a login that can create API accounts.

Step by step

Open Store-level API accounts
In your control panel go to Settings, then Store-level API accounts (under API).
Create an API account
Press Create API account and choose V2/V3 API token. Name it Flash Listings.
Give it permission
Set Products to modify and Information & settings to read-only. Press Save.
Copy the API path and access token
BigCommerce shows them once, straight after saving (and downloads them as a file). Paste both into Settings.
Press Check and connect
We check them with BigCommerce, then keep them.

When you list

Each listing is made as a visible product with its title, description, photos, price, SKU, condition and stock.
BigCommerce needs a weight to make a product, so it is set to 0 - put in the real weight so postage is worked out right.

If something goes wrong

BigCommerce did not accept that token: Check the API path is this store's, and that Products is set to modify. Make a new API account if unsure.

OnBuy

Takes about 3 minutes.

You will need

An approved OnBuy seller account.
Barcodes (EANs) on your products - OnBuy lists by barcode.
New items - used items are not sent to OnBuy from here yet.

Step by step

Sign in to your Seller Control Panel
At seller.onbuy.com.
Open the API page
Go to Listing & Products, then Imports & Integrations, and press OnBuy API.
Copy your two keys
Copy the consumer key and the secret key into Settings.
Press Check and connect
We check them with OnBuy, then keep them.

When you list

OnBuy finds the product in its catalogue by barcode and adds your listing to it, with your price, stock and SKU.
Listings go through OnBuy's queue and are usually live within minutes.

If something goes wrong

OnBuy lists by barcode: Add the product's EAN to the listing's item specifics and try again.
OnBuy has no product with that barcode yet: Add the product once in your Seller Control Panel (Products, then Add product). After that, list it from here.

Squarespace

Takes about 3 minutes.

You will need

A Squarespace plan with Commerce.
A Store page on your site (Pages, then +, then Store).

Step by step

Open Developer API Keys
In your site go to Settings, then Advanced (or Developer tools), then Developer API Keys.
Generate a key
Press Generate key and name it Flash Listings.
Give it permission
Set Products and Inventory to Read and write. Press Generate.
Copy the key
It is shown once - paste it into Settings straight away, and press Check and connect.

When you list

Each listing is made as a visible product on your Store page, with its title, description, price (in pounds), SKU and stock.
Its photos are uploaded after it is made and take a minute to finish processing.

If something goes wrong

Your site has no Store page yet: Add a Store page (Pages, then +, then Store), then connect again.
Squarespace did not accept that key: Make a new key with Products and Inventory set to Read and write.

Wix

Takes about 5 minutes.

You will need

A Wix site with Wix Stores added.
The Wix account that owns the site.

Step by step

Open the API Keys Manager
Go to manage.wix.com/account/api-keys and press Generate API Key.
Name it and give it your store
Name it Flash Listings and, under permissions, tick Wix Stores (all of it). Press Generate Key.
Copy the key
Paste it into Settings.
Copy your site ID
Open your site's dashboard. The long code after /dashboard/ in its address is the site ID - you can paste the whole address. Press Check and connect.

When you list

Each listing is made as a product with its title, description, photos, price, SKU and stock.

If something goes wrong

This Wix site has no online store yet: Add Wix Stores to the site, then connect again.
Wix did not accept that key for this site: Check the site ID is this site's, and that the key has Wix Stores permissions.

Reverb

Takes about 2 minutes.

You will need

A Reverb seller account. Reverb is for music gear.

Step by step

Open API & Integrations
Sign in to Reverb. From your profile menu go to My Profile, then the API & Integrations tab.
Generate a token
Press Generate New Token. Tick public, read_listings and write_listings.
Copy it
Paste the token into Settings and press Check and connect.

When you list

The AI picks the make, model, Reverb category and condition from Reverb's own lists.
Each listing arrives on Reverb as a draft: add your postage there and press Publish.

If something goes wrong

Reverb did not accept that token: Make a new token with write_listings ticked.

Discogs

Takes about 1 minute.

You will need

A Discogs account that can sell. Discogs is for records, CDs and tapes that are in its database.

Step by step

Open Developer settings
Sign in and go to Settings, then Developers.
Generate a token
Press Generate new token, copy it into Settings and press Check and connect.

When you list

A Discogs listing is always one exact release. Press Find the record on Discogs, pick the right release from the list, choose its condition, and press List on Discogs.
The price is in your Discogs account's currency.
A record is one of a kind: when it sells anywhere else, its Discogs listing is taken down. If it comes back into stock, list it on Discogs again by hand.

If something goes wrong

Discogs found nothing by that title: Make the listing's title the artist and record name as Discogs has them, and try again.
Discogs did not accept that token: Generate a new token in Settings, Developers.
